We’ll be looking at the starlines described by Ptolemy in Almagest VII.i.
In many cases, we find that the text doesn’t match the sky. Presuming that the sky doesn’t lie, we’ll aim to correct the text.
We also look about for other figures and alignments which might have been used by ancient observers to help define the stars.
